I was born and raised in Yazoo County. I have 3 older brothers and we were raised in a very Christian-based home. We were raised to respect others and always treat others as you would want to be treated. We lost our precious dad in January of 2016 in a very tragic accident. My entire life was flipped around and my outlook on things changed from that moment on. I always try to take life "one day at a time" and I do not sweat the small stuff, becuase life is short and I feel that God wants us to enjoy it. I am married to Jason Griffin and he works at CF Industries in Yazoo City. We have 2 boys, Walker who is seven and in the second grade at Covenant Christian, and Bentley who is three and goes to Tutored Tots in Yazoo City. I am so thankful for my job at the Yazoo County Schools and I enjoy working with the children at Linwood, they surely have a way of stealing your heart and making you laugh. I plan to be here for many years to come if the good Lord allows.
I attended Yazoo County High School and graduated in 2002. Go Panthers! I then proceeded to Holmes Community College, and then Delta State University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology. I was then accepted into the graduate program at University of Central Arkansas, where I obained my Master's Degree.
I began my career in 2008 shortly after graduation at Methodist Senior Services in Yazoo City. I worked there until this past March/2017, when I accepted the position as the Speech Pathologist for Yazoo County Schools.
